Welcome to the 1-800-HOTLINE Mock Trial! Thank you very much for joining us. We hope that this week will give you a taste of what is to come during the actual round in May. This Sunday, February 24th, we will be putting up the IC mingle log on 1_800_hotline community, and the mock trial investigation will be taking place on Friday, March 1st, with the trial posted the next day. Hi I'm Sean and I have very little experience with murder games, but I've been interested for a while and this one seems neat, so I'm taking the plunge with Kristoph Gavin from Ace Attorney, a guy who became a serial murderer and criminal mastermind because he lost a game of poker once.

Really excited for the game proper too so I'm hoping this works out!

THANKS DUDER I only hope I can do him justice (HA HA). I know next to nothing about Penumbra but I have heard good things and I look forward to seeing how these guys bounce off each other.

im sure juno will think hes a standup guy who just so Happens to have a skull face on his hand for no good reason. like, hes (ex????) friends (???) with a girl who got her entire set of teeth serrated for fun, so whos he to judge

but seriously i DONT KNOW how kristoph is gonna play his whole everything so WHO KNOWS WHAT JUNO WILL THINK OF HIM... but i do wanna note that the head writer of the penumbra podcast's script cites ace attorney as a major influence on a lot of his stuff for the juno steel storyline so like, thats cool

That IS cool, perhaps I should give it a listen!! And def promising for their CR, now I am excited. Esp since nobody here knows Kristoph so why would he ruin the fun and give stuff away beforehand :^)

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! juno is at a point where hes generally less trusting of people rn but hes also. def been played before. MULTIPLE TIMES. so. DEPENDING ON HOW KRISTOPH PLAYS IT juno could be totally blindsided which thrills me

and yessss penumbra is Very Good. the podcast basically switches off between the juno steel storyline which is a sci-fi detective noir and a fantasy setting called second citadel (early on they did some one-shots too but dropped those) and both are Great, i love the writing and acting a lot. i def would recommend it to anybody and not just cause im biased...
